Changed Topic Again

My new choice in topic is Political Apathy.
As I was reading my articles on what the military has been doing in Iraq and Afghanastan since September 11 it hit me that if I tried to hold a political discussion with one of my peers it would be very unlikely that they'd relate, or even understand the problem.
These people are my age, averaging in 17 by the end of their 11th year. Out of High School they will be 18, and officially responsible for helping to run our country: yes, we run it, no one else.
People like to blame our government, often forgetting that we are our government: "We the People..." says our Constitution, and our federal government is run in that way.

In the end, I wish for required political courses to be established.

Sorry for miss-spellings. In a hurry.

Victor.

  2. Ok victor I would really love to see how this project comes out.
And you think we run this country? No no, in the end all of our work and money has to go through the government. Our voices will be heard but in the end they make the final decisions. Even getting a president WE vote for can be taken out of their positions by the other government.
i think you should do a survey to see how your fellow classmates feel about this subject if you arent already.
Good luck with your project Vic=)

  3. This is a really good topic, being politically aware can really help, even if many people see our government as corrupt the constitution states that we can overthrow it if we wanted to (if I'm not mistaken). You see if you know things you can at least attempt to change it.

Anyway, besides overthrowing and all that revolutionary jazz, people should just be aware in general. I'm trying to do more research and buy books on it so that I'm not lost when it comes to politics. I know a few things, but not as much as I want.
